Home-Made Ghee
Ghee is so easy to make and it's the perfect Paleo substitute for butter! It's made from butter, but because you bake out the casein (dairy), it's well-tolerated by most people, even those who are sensitive to dairy.
Hands-On Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- Organic Butter from Pasture-Raised Cows (x2 sticks or 1 C)
Pre-heat your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit:
Place the butter in a glass baking dish and bake in the oven for
45 minutes:
Carefully remove the dish out from the oven and pour the
golden liquid (the ghee) into a separate glass container, making sure
the white crust on the top and the white liquid at the bottom stays in the baking dish while you pour:
